Pixera is a widely adopted media server platform in live events, immersive installation and multi-display environments, powering museums, experience centres, location-based entertainment and projection-led storytelling worldwide. With the new Pixera (HTTP/TCP) Extension for SP Grid, teams can now connect Pixera directly into Grid Studio, unlocking deeper orchestration between media playback, automation logic, and experience control across the wider AVLM ecosystem.
This Extension makes setup simple and scalable: define the Pixera IP address, confirm the port, and enable HTTP/TCP API access inside Pixera preferences. Once connected, Grid Studio can access and control the key components of real production workflows, including timelines, cues, blending, opacity, playback speed, transport mode, and cue navigation. That means operators and system designers can trigger content changes with precision, automate transitions based on events or schedules, and unify playback control alongside lighting, audio, sensors and interactive triggers.
Beyond timeline operation, the integration expands into layer and parameter control, enabling real-time adjustments to opacity, mute states, and even position/rotation or colour parameter workflows. With access to screens and calibration markers, Pixera becomes a true part of a spatially intelligent system: not just playing content, but responding as the environment evolves. Combined with predefined workflows that maintain connectivity and keep action lists refreshed automatically, the Pixera Extension provides a robust foundation for reliable, show-ready media playback integration inside the SP Grid platform.
